Rising Violence in Indonesia Against Religious Minorities

Indonesia used to be an good example of religious tolerance, but that good reputation is no longer deserved, notes Human Rights Watch.

In my February 20 post I wrote about a young Christian from Indonesia whom I met via Twitter.  He and a small team of persons from other faiths are protesting acts of violence against religious minorities, and are spreading messages of interfaith respect on the internet.  Please watch the short video below, which tells about the mounting interreligious strife in Indonesia.  More details are available at Huffington Post’s under, “Human Rights Watch:  Indonesia: Religious Minorities Targets of Rising Violence.”
